Review:
Cash did not grow up in the MC. He was a foster kid and found his MC-familiy after a few years in the military. Layla just moved to Hawthorne with her adoptive daughter after her nan left them her house. After a few encounters Layla thinks Cash is a jerk and an arrogant ass, despite the intense draw and attraction she feels. But she sparks his interest and he starts chasing her, he knows what he wants, and he likes that he needs to work for it. And then trouble finds Layla, and Cash hits overprotective alpha mode.
I really enjoyed this installment of the Ride Second Gen series. The story is well written and it just flowed from the first page. The chemistry between the H/h was off the charts, and I just liked them both from the start. The secondary characters and the MC were great as usual, and contribute a great deal to the story. Mystery, action and revelations I did not see coming made this a pretty great read.
Look forward to the next book and kinda hope that we get a new series featuring the club from the past.
