Some authors never disappoint, and Jessica Prince, the queen of small town romance, is one of them. I adored her Hope Valley series and I love her Redemption series. And the second book in the series, Crazy Beautiful,
was no exception.

Crazy Beautiful (Redemption Book 2)

Their marriage was nothing more than a business transaction. Or at least that was what they told themselves.

Poppy Weston had been burned enough times by undeserving men to know her heart was best left under lock and key. She was content with her life, even with the lack of romance. Then Jase Hyland walked into Redbud Inn and offered her something she couldn’t refuse. In return, all she had to do was marry him.

Jase had seen firsthand the kind of damage relationships caused, and he wanted nothing to do with it. He’d been taught from a young age that the only things that should matter to a man were wealth and power. However, all it took was a series of events to lead him down a path he never expected to travel.

It was supposed to be simple. No feelings, no emotions, just two friends entering into a mutually beneficial arrangement.

He thought he had it all figured out . . . until he went and fell for his wife.

If you like a small-town romance, you should read this book. Few writes a better small-town romance than Jessica Prince. And while these could be read as stand alones, the experience will be so much better if you’ve read the first book in the series.

In Crazy Beautiful, we get Jase and Poppy’s story.
Jase is finally ready to make his move against his parents, and also to make Redemption his permanent home. Just when he’s ready to take over the company, he gets told that the only way for that to happen is if he gets married.

Poppy owns the Redwood Inn in Redemption and is best friends with Jase’s sister, Farrah. Poppy has had her share of hard times and heartbreak but still tries her best to live her dream.

A marriage of convenience

For Jase, the only person he can think of to enter a fake marriage with is Poppy. And for Poppy, the offer comes in the nick of time. Not only are they friends, but this would also save her precious Inn. What they didn’t take into account was the crazy chemistry between them and how much they like each other. And it doesn’t take long for fake to feel very real.

You’re my favorite person

How great is that? To be someone’s favorite person in the entire world. Telling someone that is almost better than “I love you”. This story was a rollercoaster of feelings, and I never wanted the ride to end. I fell in love with Jase and Poppy, and really rooted for them.

Like always, the writing in this book just flows, and you get sucked right into the story. Prince creates towns you really want to move to, filled with characters you wish you knew in real life. What I enjoy the most is that no one’s perfect. They all have flaws, and every character grows throughout the stories. Jessica Prince definitely spins great stories, and I’m happily caught in her web.
